Continue to stay positive and a good explanation for the extended gap in unemployment wouldn't hurt either. Employers are looking first and foremost for what you can bring to the table to today but that said, having a resume with bullet points of your most recent accomplishments would've made you all the more marketable candidate. It depends on what industry you're looking to get into and what previous training/experience you have but at 41 you're still in the prime of your employment marketability and remember, prayer, patience, and perseverance pays off. I wish you all the best and confident you'll find something soon!

What have you been doing for 11 years?

You should be using google to find free training on the skills you need.

God doesn't just drop a job on you if you have not done your part.

Also keep praying.

Most public school systems are desperate for people who want to work assisting special needs kiddos if you have a desire to work with kids who need good people you would probably have your pick of what school you want. Schools also need clerks, secretaries, data management people etc.

That happened to me you have to keep trying! Keep pushing on Don’t give up on yourself. Push yourself to the woman you want to become and when you get there don’t let anyone take it from you! God bless and good luck! It’s up to you to motivate! I hope this helps!

Depending on what kind of job you are looking for, you might need to take an English writing and grammar class for starters. For example, in just the first two sentences you wrote, you misspelled the word, "about," failed to put commas where they should be, and have a "run on sentence." Most State unemployment agencies have job interviewing and job search training classes that could be helpful. If you haven't worked in 11 years, it's time to either apply at a temp agency, or apply for a job outside the areas you usually apply for. Sometimes, doing either part-time or volunteer work can help you get your foot in the door so you can get that full time job you want. On the other hand, you're not saying if you have a criminal record or not. The good government jobs all require people to be finger print cleared, and without any criminal records. Some jobs require a clean DMV record and won't hire people who have had more than one ticket in the last 5 years. There's a reason why people are not hiring you. You can try calling back previous people who interviewed you and ask them what areas you need to improve in so that you could become a better job candidate in the future. You could tell them that you'd really like to work for them. You can do your research on the company so that during the interview, you could explain why you would be the perfect candidate for their "awesome" company. People like to hire new employees with a happy, can-do personality and who can demonstrate their long-term enthusiasm in the interview. A good place to start is to go to your local State unemployment office and find out what classes they have that could benefit you. You can also brush up on computer skills at a temp agency where the only basic requirement is that you know how to type. A psych tech position pays well and the training program only takes one year to complete. Two year colleges often offer these psych tech programs. Change your thoughts and behaviors and change your life. Sounds like it's time to do something different and visualize yourself in your perfect job. Then write down what you need to do to get that job. You're only 41, but not is the time to take some desperate steps. You don't want to be 51 and still be saying that you can't find a job. You are either psychologically or emotionally "stuck," and need to find someone who can help you get "unstuck." What I've seen in life is that oftentimes, prayer and having someone like a pastor pray over me can help. Sometimes when we do things to improve our relationship with God, God comes through and helps us improve our relationship in our work and financial environments. Do you have a disability? If so, talk to a counselor about it as there are employers who hire people with disabilities. Best thing to do is to get someone to pray for you and get ideas on what you need to do differently so you can get different results. There are plenty of jobs for nurses with a 2 year degree, psych techs (1 year training), and customer service work for people who work with computers and apply for State and County jobs. Good luck to you!

Eleven years out of the employment pool is a VERY long time. In addition to going through temp agencies, I would also look for some free or low-cost training to help catch you up to where the current employment environment is. Showing training courses on your resume might help employers feel they can take a chance on you.
