Don't even mention that employer LOL put any other employer just not that one because they will politely ruin your chances with the new employer

You can always give a contact from your previous workplace who you know will be likely to say positive things about you. Your references don't necessarily have to be a direct manager, just someone who can attest to your work ethic and your ability to be a pleasant coworker. I hope your search works out well!

If they ask or just let them the reference may not be what you want to here however I was there for however many years. After 11 years I just share that my culture morals and value will not be compromised. Good luck
