You should go ahead and apply anyway and let them take your application through their process. If you get called in for an interview you can be upfront and let them know about your past but then again it may not even show up on the background check anyway. They usually let you know in writing if anything negative comes back on the background check that won't allow them to hire you. You should also look into expunging those minor offenses from you record if they show up.
