2018, 34 strikeouts and counting...
I used to work as a commercial fisherman for a decade and then the industry collapsed 2 years ago, 6 years ago I got in to a small bit of non-violent trouble with the law...almost every employer with whom I didn't have a close personal friend or family member using their influence to help me get hired turned me down. The one employer who hired me was UPS for seasonal work and they shorted my pay almost $300, gave me the run around for 4 months trying to collect. Then a nice sounding manager told me he was 'sorry' this had happened and to bring in my pay stubs and they would cut a check. Like an IDIOT, I gave him the original only copies of my pay stubs and he said my adjustment check would arrive in a week...2 weeks later I go right back to the same manager who 'doesnt remember me' or our interaction and is again 'sorry' to tell me that their records of employees' hours are destroyed after 3 months...I did not expect this from such a large company. What a crock. . Anyways, just e-miserating. Good luck to all.
Oh no, Spencer! Did you contact your local labor board? They will require them to produce that info! I would give them a call and see what they have to say. Wishing you the best, I am so sorry that happened.
