On an interview you should wear...
Depends on the position that you are interviewing for. Majority of positions can get away with business casual.

Hello. For an interview you should dress for the position you are applying for. Let management tell you they are a more relaxed office or company. In this way, they know to take you seriously from the beginning. If you Do opt for business casual, (which isn't wrong) they will read it as "one of the boys, may need to train a bit, or he/she does look a bit young." I say this because at one time I was the one doing the hiring. If I hired you anyway, you still had to prove yourself,more so than someone dressed for the position. I'm not saying it's fair. I'm saying that it how the human mind works. At the time I had no idea I did this. However looking back its So Clear. So please keep these things in mind. People do not go in to interview someone determined to make assumptions or twist words around or toy with someone who NEEDS a job.. So, your check list should be:
- Research the company, find items that you like about it and bring them up.
- If there's something you don't like, ask about it. Is it being handled? You like that they were up front with the issue
which means they are truthful w/their people & the public. - If there is something they Do or produce that you don't understand, now is the time to ask.
- Anything that you didn't like from your past position find out if is the same there. i.e.: DO NOT say: my last job didn't do this @@@ so I had to blah blah. Never, Ever bad mouth your previous employer. Bring the request up by saying something like, "daycare has been very important to me. I have yet to find a company that either provides daycare or helps subsidize the cost. What do you do here in regard to daycare?
- The rest should be your personal questions benefits, promotions etcetera.
Bring this information/questions with you just like the interviewer will be bringing theirs. It will earn you massive brownie points. Sorry for the novel. I just hate for people to lose out in an interview for something simple. Good luck!
