Not sure what more I can do.........any suggestions? #stressing #whattodo #imdoingeverything #whycallwhentheyhirewithin
I decided to go back to school to complete my degree...........so I worked and went to school both full time. I have finally finish and been looking for a new job because my old one has relocated due to a merger. I have been looking consistently well before the company relocated and still unemployed. It has been about 4 almost 5 months at this point and I have no clue what else I can do at this point. I have been getting a lot of feedback, responses and a few interviews due to my experience and education but they end up hiring within. I have never ever been a person to stress but at this point im starting too. I stay positive and very diligent with applying but at this point I feel like I made a mistake not relocating. Its becoming a job in itself to look for a job. Can anyone share some words of wisdom? Thank You in advance....................

Gregory, as far as relocating, only you could make that decision. Let's look at now, as the relocation ship has sailed. So now you have more education, more job experience, and a justifiable reason for leaving, so what's possibly causing a stall. It may be that your degree doesn't fit your job experience. It could be a resume issue, maybe adding more keywords would help. It could be an geographical area, depressed, and not much work. I suggest starting with smaller changes, and if need be relocating. I believe in going to where the work is, so if you really are stifled jobwise in the area you are in, it may be time to move. Good Luck...

Try not to stress and keep on the hunt something will turn up for you. Look at other transferable opportunities and industries. Don't be afraid to branch out and look at new horizons. Keep being positive and don't be afraid to try new things.Having a degree alone will get you in the door on a job you might not have thought you could do but may have an interest in, look at having someone help with revising your resume (if you haven't) and do several different ones for other industries or a job you think looks good and sounds good but might not be up you specific set of skills. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

Dear Mr. degree, you made the right decision to go back to school, one day you'll look back and understand what I'm saying, it's hard right now but hang in there, I don't know if you heard the saying "what comes easy usually not right for you" I hope I quote it right but if you can't think of anything right now to lighten your burden think about you degree and the bright future ahead
