Jobs NOT to look for...
There are certainly some jobs that will always be needed, and some, that will be only needed infrequently. The jobs that are always needed are ones that deal with filling out needed paperwork in order to make a sale, such as...a title clerk for an automotive dealership, or someone who does a job that nobody else wants to do, such as...cutting grass or picking up trash. I am not putting down those types of jobs, just saying that those are jobs that a lot of Americans don't want to do. Now, lets talk about jobs that pay much better, but are not the type that are always sustainable. I myself am a graphic designer, and although I have been lucky for most of my career to always have had work, being a graphic artist is the type of job that gets cut first...since it is generally not a revenue-generating position in most companies. A graphic designer is valuable in a marketing team...we are the ones who produce the marketing and sales materials many companies need to get the word out about their product or service, but in tough economic times (like now)...we are the ones that get cut first. Since we are a cost to a company and not a stand alone revenue machine.
Well that sucks! Graphic design seems pretty essential these days, what with everything being online. Sorry to hear that, man.
