Disability or not

When filling out applications, does one not report that they are disabled or once disabled? What does this benefit the employer? I feel its another screening process for not hiring someone.....thoughts?

I would have to say that it depends on what kind of job you are applying for as well as what your disability limits you to do. It may be important for your employer to know about said disability in order to best fit the jobs they have you do. However if you are disabled there are always programs like voc rehab that will help you through your challenges and help get you placed in just the right position. And I know that with voc rehab, you are likely to be paid more than what the company usually hires for... so if your disability is limiting your ability to gain employment this program or one similar is probably the way to go.
