3 Easy Steps to prepare for the Job Fair!

Hey Cinci Jobcasers - tmws the day! Here's what you should do today to prep for success:

  1. PRINT out 50 Resumes. Dont have one? No problem - just finish filling out your profile here on jobcase and then hit the 'generate resume' button. Its always better to have too many resumes than not enough.
  2. RESEARCH 5 companies that will be attending the fair. It always helps you stand out if you can ask 1-2 informed questions about the role or the company. I dont mean "how much do I get paid" or "how many vacation days". I mean things about the company culture or how results are measured. You want to come across as a discerning prospective coworker who wants to make sure you can help them succeed!
  3. PRACTICE your elevator pitch. You should be able to describe who you are, what you are looking for and how you can help them succeed all in under 20 seconds. (as if you are on an elevator and have 3 floors to tell them everything). Definitely rehears this out loud. Into a mirror is fine. Into a recorded phone is even better for your review. The old adage is correct - you only get 1 chance to make a first impression - so practice it first!. And I'll add in another
  4. SLEEP - you are at your best when you are well rested. Get some sleep, dress in a way that gives you most confidence and good luck Crushing it tomorrow!!!!

Thanks, Fred! As for the resumes, when in doubt bring MORE than what you think you will need. 50 is definitely a great amount to tuck into your bag or a notebook. You don't want to run out and wish you had brought more. Good luck everyone!!! We can't wait to see you there ; )

Great tips!!! I always think sleep is the most important thing or you will look tired and not be as sharp.
