Is FedEx Ground and FedEx Freight the same or different companies?
I want to apply to both companies but I want to use 1 application.
Different ground contract work. FedEx main company with benefits. Will need to apply with each company.
Same parent company. Different divisions of same parent company though. Same with FedEx Express, FedEx Office, FedEx Custom Critical, etc. All need to be applied for separately. Same employee numbers used at all divisions though throughout.
Ground and Freight are the same company but just different divisions. You will have to fill out two applications.
FedEx Ground is an owner-operator setup. FedEx you work directly for FedEx. FedEx ground you work for a contractor for FedEx. FedEx corporate saves in expense's doing the owner-operator setup. It is basically the same set up that Airborne Express had years ago before DHL took them over.
They are not the same companies. They work separate and independent from each other. They fall under the fedex corp.. but compete collectively.
