Social work jobs

I am a bachelors level licensed social worker. I watch my grandson's a few days a week so I am only looking for part-time work. And I haven't worked in my field for 10 years. I've put in for quite a few jobs now and only gotten a call for one interview. That interview made me realize I am not up on the latest information in my field (mental health). The person who interviewed me told me maybe I should put on for some on call jobs within the same agency. I did so several weeks ago and have not received a call for an interview. I am 46 years old and I'm now r wondering maybe it also has to do with my age. However, I am wondering if there are any inexpensive ways for me to get up-to-date experience in my field. I can't afford conferences at this point. Any ideas on a place I could volunteer to get experience or any other ideas for me to get more recent experience? Any help would be appreciated.

I've been hired as a "Relief" Case Manager at Community Mental Health. Basically it's filling in when people are sick or on vacation, but now I have a foot in the door! Thank you for all your advice!

Behavioral Therapist at Delta T Group

Research juvenile placements/ shelters. They at times need social workers! An example of what I'm talking about is hillsides located in Pasadena, ca( just an example for u to know of what I said). Care.com to work with families till u get what u want. Doordash. Com also...also their r places to use your degree as a one on one/ behavioral therapist/ TBS. Also look into parent partners. I hope this helps! Blessings! : )
