Gary....check usajobs.gov for announcements (open job competition)...also if you have/know friends/former coworkers in other federal organizations/agencies (that may have direct hire announcements advertised only on an installation or within an organization) have them email you leads. Also, if you find something you're really interested in...you may be able to have them hire you for specified terms...one year at a time renewable at their discretion for additional years...usually up to five years). As a retired annuitant, you still receive your retirement pay, etc., plus receive your specified job salary at the annuitant level (possibly w/few fringe benefits).
