THE POWER OF REFERRAL

This is actually my first post in this group. I enjoy writing but I usually take my time to study a group so I can be sure of what the mood is. Thank God this is a group of serious minded individuals. I respect people on this platform that use this as a forum to reach out with respect and encourage others especially in their career struggle. I want to reaffirm the positive power of giving someone a referral. Many of us in this group are still unemployed today, even after about five months of rigorous job search, not because we are not qualified, but because the employer is waiting for someone to say he/she is good. With all my qualifications, I still get application responses like..."sorry , we have decided to proceed to the next stage with other candidates". You start wondering, what other higher qualifications, skills and experiences can you have. It boils down to REFERRAL. ...Please someone should try my IQ, hardwork and dedication and report back to this group. ..... I love working with people, excellent with youth activities, public speaker, writer, presenter, customer service , HR generalist, 15 years banking experience.. above all, great interpersonal skills,....I'm waiting to be discovered. ...Thanks everyone.

Hi Obiageli! We are so thrilled to have you here and glad you like the dynamic of the community. We enjoy positive and supportive minded members here : ) Referrals are a wonderful thing, absolutely! Did you know you can request them here on Jobcase? They are called Praises! Click on My Info on the top right from Jobcase.com once you are logged in and then select "request a praise." You can ask them via email or your Facebook account. Very easy : )

You also can follow these few simple steps to find a job opportunity here on Jobcase.

1. Click on Jobs & Companies at the top of the page, or head over [here] (http://www.jobcase.com/jobs/search)

2. Enter a job into the search field where it says Job Title, Keywords, or Company.

3. Add in your location by filling in your City and State OR zip code. Then click the magnifying glass to search.

4. Once the list is up, click on “View Job" of any you are interested in and then apply.

Good luck please let me know if you need anything!
