Do you mean falsified?

Scott, When s new person such as a Head Manager they don't expect any feedback or comments from their workers, They figure that they are there to establish new policies and practices even if the company mission, policies are written in stone. What you could have done was discuss your concern with HR/ Human Relations Director before speaking with the Head Manager. That way they can discuss mission, policies, practices with him. Maybe with your 17years of experience make it pay off by showcases it to other competitors of Winn Dixie. That, you have developed good working relationship, work ethics, and learned new skills.

So sorry to hear that! I have the same problem with one of my past employers! Even though the company has changed hands MANY times over the yrs., they kept a lot of the people I worked with. One of which are the HR ***** who managed to get me fired because she saw that I was coming her way & didn't like that one little bit. I didn't stand a chance in trying to prove that she was lying because, and against company policy, she is the wife of one of the department heads and -still is-!
It's so sad because I was very good at my job. So much so that a new department & title was created for me. I went from being a C.S.R. to CSR/Customer Retention Specialist. I haven't had to apply for employment in many, many years but now must. And what is the 1st thing that came up? A horrible reference against me from HER!
I've considered taking legal action against her before for slander but I can't really get anywhere with that since I was never able to prove that there was any in the 1st place. It's just a bullet in my heart which in inoperable so I just have to live with it!
I do wish you all the luck in the world. 17 yrs. of steady employment with the same company is awesome and should stand with merit!!

New managers always bring new changes in the work area. You can inquire with the HR of the company about the incident and confirm that the manager's policy change was within his authority. If the HR dept. Rep confirms that was not authorized, you may have a case to file against the manager and the company. You need documented evidence of the incident and all details of your discussion with the Mgr. Falsification of an employee write up/counseling could be grounds for you to seek legal advise. Your side of the incident must be credible also.

Did you get terminated, and what was the reason for your termination ???

All it takes is that one asshole to screw any bodies life up, but the good thing is Karma is a bitch always gets em back believe u me!!!

I will not shop at Winn-Dixie ever again!

From what I know is that a company is not allowed to give u a bad report it is against the law and you should find out if that's the reason u can't get a job u need proof and u might have case
