I LIED on my resume...and they hired me

I said I had more experience than I do. Now the job is mine and I am scared out of my mind! I REALLY wanted it and I know I can do the job, but there were a few things they needed that I was missing. I am not the type of person who lies, but I was desperate. It’s been way too long since I had a job. I am regretting this big time. I am going to look so stupid. Should I just try to fake my way through?

I really don't believe that this is the right way for any one to get a job. I feel if they lie about what's on their resume you have to wonder what else their are hinding. I know for my self honesty is the best solution. You may look up and find out you have no job, because of not being who you really are.

Throughout history there has been a long tradition of "Fake it 'til you make it". I wouldn't ever suggest lying, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do to land a job. Honestly, it depends on how big of a lie it is. If what you lied about is a big part of the job, then it will become obvious rather quickly that you lied, especially if they don't plan on providing training.

Google might become your friend.
