That's ok. That only means that was not the right job for you. Keep looking, stay focused, don't feel depressed, but feel proud. You will find the right job and you will be very happy. So be patient.

yeah, as much as I appreciate the job when I have them-- I always like- did it change or is it still- I thought they at least USED to sell temp jobs as a job where YOU can always say no when they offer you a job and you can work how much you want, and it was supposed to be easier to be able to take off - if you need to take off for some reason......but that's either all changed or complete bullshit... you say NO to a job and they'll quit calling you and offering you a job. Or heaven forbid you need to leave early or take a day off- they are worse than regular emloyers. And I'm sorry- I hate the two facey liars.....they are all nicey nicey to your face but then wont tell you why a company is ending an assignment. or lies about talking to another employee that day...why lie?? wtfever....they're a necessary evil sometimes.

Also, at least in my experience with temp agencies, being fired from a position does not necessarily mean being fired from the temp agency. Also sometimes you simply get let go from a temp position due to overstaffing or the assignment being over or whatever. At least for me (it was years ago, but I used to do very well with temp agencies, it's how I stayed employed in my 20s) when my assignment ended, my agency would put me right back to work somewhere else.

Temp jobs sometimes are long term or even temp to perm, but sometimes they do end unexpectedly and abruptly. If you were not able to learn the task (and it sounds like they may have done a poor job teaching) they may have let you go. But sometimes even slow workers will be kept on if the company really needs the people. Sometimes they don't really need as many temps as they hire and they let a few go, and if you had any trouble catching on (even if it was their teaching error) you may have been on the list to let go rather than retain. This is just experience, you probably can't do much to reverse this decision, but just keep going on to the next opportunity.

I worked at a staffing agency, I am curious what type of classes are you taking? I always refer back to your local Unemployment office for training availabilty., rather than a temp agency. I did training classes but they were pre-training for customers or training available to brush up on your skills. You need to check with Manpower Staffing-they have great training classes that you do independentely. And last but not least, I 've done this and I know other people have too: taking training for a job we have no real interest in or aptitude for, thinking that the training will get us the job and we can move on to something else. As I used to tell my temps, do not ever take a job in desperation because you will always fail somewhere at sometime.

Fellow Jobcaser, Temporay agencies, have a large list of personnel to work with. Maybe you are slower, then some of the rest. Look for a companies and agencies that have reviews and you can get a .idea of how they are to work for and turnover ratio. You are basing your experience on one agency, look into other directions, explore open job sites and see what this lead to . If possible, get re-trained in something new. Best of luck

Administrative Assistant

I was hired through a temp to a job at stewàrt title. They use a temp agency to hire people who are not friends of executive employees, I guess. Another girl, friend of exec, was hired directly on 4 days after I was hired, 2 days later I was "layed off" supposedly due to over staffing, she was hired after me, hmmmmm. I received no training whatsoever by anyone qualified. Since I was hired thru a temp, the chicken of a company isn't responsible for unemployment, getting my last check to me timely or having to give any kind of answer for their bad actions. Shame on them! Oh, it took longer for me to get my last pay check than what I actually got to work there!

Check out your state unemployment office. They can direct you to class in MS Office, Quickbooks and other office staffing programs that are used by most employers. They also can help you with resume building, interviewing and asking the right questions at an interview. If you are in CA check out the WIOA programs through EDD. It will help your self confidence and if you have these skills it makes it easier to get a job.

Hi I am not being rude nor would I want to hurt your feelings. Take time to strengthen your weak areas. Think what you could have done incorrectly and how you can do better the next time. If this is a temporary agency speak with your Rep. and ask her to be honest and tell you what these Companies had to say. If they do not tell you what you did wrong they don't care enough. I have been a Supervisor for many years If they cared they should communicate. Good Luck
