Medical Assistant

Kristi

It seems it is very difficult to obtain a job as a medical assistant. I have applied for so many that does not specify that they are looking for a certified medical assistant. They call and do a telephone interview or have me come in for an interview. They ask the question why did you leave your last position and then the question are you certified. I am not currently certified however I am registered to take the exam. I am not able to schedule my test until after the 15th of October. So everyone out there say a prayer for me that I will pass the test.

Certified medical assistant

Hi Kristi ,my name is Sharon and I'm a national certified medical assistant. I know it can be difficult starting off in this field and there are many things that are required to get your foot into any door. I think you should call me so maybe I can help you. I'm leaving my current position with a concierge physician in Parker and I think she would be willing to give you a chance in her office. Sharon 720-366-8303

Amen. Consider it done Kristi. You have a lot of jobcasers rooting for you on the 15th! Suggest you make sure they know your qualification status before scheduling interviews (just advice to all in general). Time management in a jobsearch is important not just for obvious reasons but also in terms of trying to keep your attitude positive. Try to avoid screen your meetings for probability of match before committing.
All that said - I know you will crush this on the 15th. Apply to 2-4 jobs/day afterwards (with politely persistent followups) and I bet you'll land that medical assistant gig before your carving turkey with your family in a few weeks.
Good luck! Fred
