Sometimes you need to lower your expectations.

Sometimes you need to lower your expectations. I see a lot of posts here focusing on problems when really there is an easy solution. Remember $7.25 an hour is better than zero dollars an hour. Lower your expectations And get through the slump.

If you have a car, Delivery drivers are always needed. If you have a pulse of valid license and insurance they will pretty much hire you on the spot.

No car no problem, McDonald’s gas stations Hardee’s Taco Bell Wendy’s… The possibilities are endless.

Sometimes you have to do something that you feel is below you while you wait out something that is the perfect fit.

Don’t give up just lower your expectations of Immediate income.

For your information Deanna Steele when anyone is illegal in this country they are not aloud to work without paypers. maybe you should try getting a job without any paypers just say you are an Illegal alien to see if you really get a better paying job try it see if you are right or wrong.

You cant live off of 7.25 an hour. When all the illegal immigrants in this country are either living off welfare or have the better paying jobs

Good advice. I'm currently working as a delivery driver while I look for something I want to do. If you pick the right one, you can make more than $10 an hour. I make between 10 to 20 an hour on average. (Usually closer to 15 when you add tips and hourly together)

The issue is that all we have are minimum wage jobs and some better ones. The better ones are taken up by recent college grads who just graduated. They don’t want the over 50 crowd. That’s just reality. If you have a disability they may pick one or two to say they aren’t being prejudice but they are. There are ways around it. We are screwed. Know who realizes this? Yang, a presidential candidate does and he knows it will only get worse. That is why he is trying to help people who are living in their cars, who may of had cancer, older workers. Look him up. The only one who truly cares about us older workers, etc.

Couldn't have said it better myself. And while you are working at that $7.25/hr. job, look for something that fits your skill set or try improving your skill set by taking a night class or two.

I rather invest that time looking for a better job and not working for 7.25 per hour

It's easier to find a job when you have a job. Interviews become easier as well. Lower your expectations a little and get that stepping stone job that heads to the next more suitable job. That's the best I got right now.
