Interview with minimal questions!

Went to an interview the other day. I wasn't asked many questions. He really just explained what the position intails & benefits. I did try to sell myself as much as I could. I have over 15 years experience as medical receptionist . But not sure what to make of this. Has anyone else ever experienced this type of interview?

Yes, I had an interview like this and I believe that I wasn't what they expected so , they basically, told me about the job instead of interviewing me........just to waste time.

Manager at Humana

I had this happen just last week. My resume was passed along to the hiring manager by a Medical Director and she asked that the hiring manager interview me. She told me I was over qualified, went through my resume quickly, told me what the starting salary was and asked if I was interested. She did not ask me one question. I thought I got the job. When I "accepted" the job, she said that she is still interviewing and I would hear back from HR when a decision was made. I did not get the job. I don't think she ever had any interest in hiring me, but was only going through the motions because she was asked to. This would have been a step down from me and I've had her position before.

Vanessa, don't let it bother you. Finding jobs is a #'s game. I interviewed for Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, CA in 2007. It lasted 20 minutes, the GM said 3 words, the RD did all of the talking, explaining the responsibilities of the position. I left the interview feeling like I blew it. I was called the next day & was offered the position out of 30 candidates. I was with the company for over 6&1/2 years. Outlasting everyone that came before me & after me. The more F2F interviews you have, the more progress your making.

I think you got the position. You must look good on paper and didn't have to sell yourself:)

I had one like this just yesterday for a leasing consultant position. Still waiting for an answer but they want to start at $12 and then go to $13 after 3 months.
