Caregiver/Direct Patient Care

Caregiver will provide exemplary personalized care that meets the physical, social, and spiritual needs of the client. He/she will advocate for the clients to maintain their dignity and empathize with their quality of life. Job Responsibilities: Adhere to the clients individual plan of care which may include: o Assisting with care needs, specifically but not limited to; dressing, grooming, bathing, incontinence care, etc. o Assisting with meal preparation o Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, dishes, cleaning the bathroom, etc) o Assisting with transportation o Administering medications prescribed by the physician o Implementing activities for the client as needed Complete all required documents and charting in a timely fashion Assess for change in condition and communicate immediately to supervisor Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services and coworkers of Homestead Home Health Care Services Report all client and staff injuries immediately to supervisor Follow all emergency procedures Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
