Legit or Sketchy?
I responded to a CL post that was advertising for CSRs. Heard back from the company and was scheduled for a phone interview. The interview time came and went with no call from them. A couple hours later I got an email from the same company congratulating me and sending the "on-boarding" paperwork. The company is Live Agent Solutions. They have an office in NYC (where I am supposed to submit my paperwork.) However, they answered my original application email via the Craigslist reply mail and not by a company email address and the only phone number listed is a cell number with no voice mail set up. Is this a real company or a scam?

You no what this is a scam. This man has said nothing that makes since. I will not be giving them any of my money Im so glad you posted here Thanks

Thanks for giving all those details. For those wondering if you have to b=pay for background check does that make company scam. No it doesn't Liveops Criminal is like $65 and they check credit before you can get on at home with them there's tons of companies that don't charge but it doesn't mean having to pay for background check is bad all the time.

One more question. I see they didnt include a suite. How did they want payment? and who should it go to?

I been working from home over 10 years and work from home making hourly right now. This address is virtual office. It doesn't mean its bad. Buttt with virtual offices they do allow drop of and pick up where you still do not see a human that works there under the biz. They have real secretaries to answer the phones and so forth.. I have worked for companies like this and then found out they where real. I hate there is not anybody else in the darn world who has sent them that money and found out yes or heck no..

Can you post the address they gave you to mail anything...

Hi Me and my friends was offered this position yesterday. My interview is Thursday between 2 and 3pm, and hers is between 4 and 5. So did this turn out to be fake or not. What is the address they would like the mail to go to, also what is the in person address. I can not afford to fork over $97 for a background check scam... Please help. There name is so slick it pulls up so much stuff other than real information. We couldn't trace the LLC nowhere either...

SCAM

Hi Jeffrey, this is a tough one. I looked up Live Agent Solutions and it certainly is a nice website, but it was created only in August. I can't find any job reviews for the company, or any reference to them anywhere. Their ambiguous name also makes it hard to find any details about their company.
Considering that and the fact that they hired you despite the fact that you never interviewed, I'd say that's super red-flaggy and I'd avoid it. I can't find any evidence that it's a real opportunity.
Here's an article I found about signs a job offer might be a scam: https://www.thebalance.com/top-job-scam-warning-signs-2062181
I hope that's helpful. Feel free to reach out to me at askemily@jobcase.com if you have any further questions!

sounds like catfishing... you may want to check the BBB on them.
