Hi Laura, I agree with Mark the best approach is to follow up with a phone call or show up in person to the locations you are interested in. You can call in advance to inquire when a manager will be in and then go in (professionally dressed) and introduce your self and let them know you have applied and you are very interested.

Hi Laura, Is there a specific location that you applied for? If so, I would call the store directly and ask to speak with the Hiring Manager about a position you applied for. You can even stop by in-person and ask to fill out an application onsite. I hope this helps! -Mark

What area are you looking to work in? Most of the baristas I know are in the Bay Area. They know me on sight and have my drink ready before I even order it.

I also know a couple managers--I tutor their kids in English Comp, History, and Math--so I can probably hook you up if you're out in this area.
