Road Driver at Hallcon

Need some advice.

I have been working for this transport and logistics company as a Driver for over 2.5 years. The company I work for subcontracts its services to other bigger companies(Client) by providing transportation to their employees. I transport the Clients employees, equipment and paperwork to, from and within their working area, and are on-call 24*7. The issue I am having is job place harassment by a clients employee. This individual has embarked on a smear campaign of harassment against me. He has made a series of several false allegations spanning several months reporting me to his company. I was cleared of the false charges, but lost both time and income during the investigation. He also complained making multiple derogatory remarks about me to several other employees. He posted negative comments about me on their personal message board. He also bragged to other coworkers telling them, "I'm gonna get that bitch fired." This type of behavior made for a very hostile working environment. I have never done anything that would spark this type of hate to anyone let alone a client. I told my immediate, regional and area supervisors when it first began, of each incident that occurred, but nothing was done to correct the problem. I tried calling our HR Dept multiple times and could never get thru to anyone to discuss my issues. I left several messages, but no one ever returned my call. In desperation I wrote a statement to this Clients supervisor hoping to get some resolution. The next thing I know, I'm being let go because the client doesn't want me working there no explanation given. Any advice????@@

Hi, Mystic. I'm so sorry you had to go through all that. It sounds like you had nowhere to turn and very little support, if any. I'm not a lawyer, nor am I qualified to give legal counsel, but I would encourage you to speak to an employment lawyer about your case to see if it is legally actionable. Some lawyers offer the first consultation for free, so be sure to look out for that. Best of luck!
