Giving up

My name is Rachelle, I study graphic design, and I graduated College 2 years ago had two internships and not yet a serious job. It is such a competitive field, and I love Graphic design I love designing and making people happy. I recreate my profile so many times. Sometimes I do some freelance, but I don't have a vast audience. It is very depressing because of im 26 years old, and I still do retail and doing some freelance on the side. I want somebody to give me a chance. If any company is in new york city and looking for graphic designer her my website viciere.com

Thank you

Chellyray Viciere I wouldn't despair just yet. A creative career is that much harder to kickstart because jobs are often few and far between. I was once in a very similar position to you at around the same age, so I definitely feel what you're going through. Keep growing and expanding your portfolio with freelance and personally motivated work. Put all of your extra energy into your creative efforts, because in the end your passion, work ethic and expertise combined are what's going to sell you above other designers. My final tip is not to be afraid to use a creative recruiter. There are creative agencies operating in most cities that are a great gateway to a lot of open positions in design and writing. Definitely don't pass up the opportunity to work with an agent (even if you don't get any work through them!) A creative agent coached me through creating a writing-oriented resume, which is what helped me land a writing job on my own! Hope this helps! I definitely know how low you must feel, but keep pushing and I know you will get on the path soon.
