I wanna holler for a dollar at DOLLAR TREE
I LOVE our local Dollar Tree. I’ve gone in, I’ve talked to people, I’ve written applications, I’ve gone back and asked the cashiers why I haven’t gotten an interview yet… and still… nothing. I just want to work for the best store in the neighborhood - why won’t the give me a call back? I will be the best employee they ever had, and I KNOW I have the right personality and customer skills to rock the role!

Danielle....I feel the same way about a store , I wanted to work in. It took 4 applications to finally get a call and I blew the final interview...my mind went blank on a crucial question he asked me...a question ,I knew the answer for but just went blank on ( never, ever happened to me before) but it is what it is...I can,t crucify myself. This store I want is still looking...so I,m going to call them again...what have I got to lose?! As for Dollar Tree...Dollar Tree is funny....I have applied there also and the first time they called me....I blew them off because there was another offer. After that first application...about 8 months, 12 months later I sent in 2 applications with no call and just recently...I sent a third with no call. However...I know people working there and they told me...they are not even hiring...even though there is an ad in " Indeed". I have seen alot of these ads and they really are not hiring, just building up their job applicant files. The best thing to do with Dollar Tree is keep stopping in and asking them every so often....don,t pester them and look semi professional when you walk in and I really believe sooner than later...something is bound to come up !

That might be the problem, there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance and you might be walking it. If you as a potential candidate come in and talk to everyone, ehem, while they are working about why you should work there, not a good look. You have already, in some management's eyes, disrespected what needs to be done daily there. A simple introduction to the manager, handshake, and smile with a few kind word all under 3-5 minutes is enough. Small box retail is murder and the things they have to juggle are insane. Be considerate and quiet down, he/she is not going to hire you to bring conversation, pick up something while you are shopping, recover a shelf, show that you really mean what you say.

dollar tree. I have done the same thing. I never hear back from everyone.

Hey, Danielle. Dollar tree is a very busy store with limited pt hours less than 20 hours a week. Just think about if they have 40 hours a week for 4 pt works 20 hours for morning crew & 20 for night. & management gets paid better. But guaranteed. There 39 hours. You sound like you would be a great fit. Don't get your hopes up on one pacific company as dollar tree keep your options open & continue your journey for jobs. I know its a bumper. They way I look at it. Its not you. Maybe its not right moment. Could be number things going on that has nothing to do with you. I would always think the same way abt a job wanting to work for particular company. And once I get opportunity. Its not all great as I thought know being on inside. Hope this helps. Your time is coming girl. God bless you

The Dollar Tree store is the one for me, I am a Teacher and I can get all of my school supplies there for my class room. From site word families cutouts, Posters on time, space and other topics. Crayons, clay, supplemental reading materials, a wonderful place to shop. When I planned to go to China, I went there and bought all the over the counter medications I could find. The food that they sale is good and I shop there to get just about everything a mom needs to run a household of kids. I am glad I don't work there because I would spend all me pay check before I got home on all their cute decorating supplies and craft items. Perhaps I should work for them in their Marketing Department.

What city do u live in I can put u direct with a location that's hiring.

Danielle, try company website, apply I believe it has to go through company data base.u could talk to manager I'm sure they would point you in the right direction. Good Luck

Where r u located?
I know how that is. That goes for about every place I've applied at. A lot of those places knows that I have the experience but will not call me for an interview or to hire me on the spot.
