Bosses Are Human Too!

Sometimes we all forget that our bosses are human too, and just like us, it feels great when someone recognizes you for doing a good job! Take some time out of your day to write a note of encouragement to your boss. Pick out a particular area that you have noticed their strength or support in, or maybe a policy that they implemented that improved the work place or moral . They get bombarded with all sorts of issues from their employees as well as their supervisors, so a kind word would be greatly appreciated and REMEMBERED! Even if you have a rotten boss, you may have to dig a bit,but you can find SOMETHING that they are good at or did right. Come on! Even a broken clock is right twice a day! Some may view this as "kissing up" but it's a small price to pay to do a kind thing , and brighten their day for someone who may keep your name off the LET GO list someday in the future. Everyone can use a pat on the back every now and then.

Yes you are correct many employees forget the boss you know when I would adjust the schedule for them just so it meets their personal schedule so they can go see their kids play or give them the extra day off cuz some families coming in or all the things to do to help them to be better employees the extra days of personal training that I gave them without yelling or screaming at them the times I come in when I'm at home at 1 in the morning cuz they're having some kind of problem and I got to dig them out of the weeds the days I got to come and cover and help them on their shift cuz they're short-handed because somebody called in sick and nobody's answering your phone so I work the shift no employee ever told me thank you for giving me the extra day off or thank you for the extra training or thank you for coming in and covering the short person the shift so I'm not here all by myself but I did it cuz I am responsible and if I didn't do it they wouldn't have jobs

Hi Jani! You're right, we do often forget that our supervisors are people just like us who may need a word of encouragement every once in a while. Thank you for sharing this with the Jobcase community!
