How much would you have to spend in gas a week? Would you have to drive through the snow and ice in the winter time?

They better be paying you very well!!!!! I can't deal with traffic, buses, trains etc. The aggravation is too much!! But I know many people who do it. Good luck! I hope it is a job you will enjoy going too. What are the costs of transportation?

Hi. I'm kinda in the same boat . I ask myself the same question. Because I live in South Bend, Indiana. But job has decided to send me all the way to Chicago, IL . After a little soul searching . I decided it's worth it despite the daily commute. Bottom line if u like the job. Absolutely worth it

Can relate, B.L, if pay rate decreases too much b/c of gas/bus etc...find something near for less, if that's you're only income (Bread&butter)stick with it and keep looking for jobs in the process, a pair of shoes is better than none!

Congrats!! This is great news. It's hard to figure out if this job is worth the commute. Look at hard costs like gas, car, train, and soft costs like time with family and friends. Good luck and let us know if you take it.

Hi Bennett, I would definitely look at what the job has to offer and your situation. How long have you been unemployed? Would a job be better than no job at this point? Would this job help you further your career positively? If it is the best job you could imagine having, than definitely go for it. The commute will work itself out! Maybe you take the job and an opportunity arrives to move to the city. If this job is worth it, other things will fall into place if you think positively!
