Pay vs Benefit

I need to decide between a job offer with higher pay and okay benefits and another offer with lower pay but awesome benefits. How can I determine the value of benefits?

Well, the best way would be to determine which job has more of the opportunity for growth and development. One of the biggest mistakes you can make is remain stagnant in you workplace even with amazing benefits.

This is a tough one, because it's a pretty personal choice. If you have a family and are building a retirement fund, benefits might be super important; if you are young, you might want to prioritize pay. Just keep in mind that taking lower pay could set your career back, especially if it's too low. Taking lower pay doesn't just affect you now. It affects your career growth, since you'll be starting from a lower salary base than the rest of your peers.

Hmm, I guess I'm in favor of higher pay after all! lol
