Scams
I think it's horrible how people try to scam you to get a new job based on the fact that they know people are desperate to work because the bills are behind the mortgage is about to be foreclosed on they've got repossessed cars and so they think people will jump at any any application or any type of job. I just had a recruiter call me take me to the whole process but the whole thing was a scam based on the fact that they needed to send checks to me for me to Cash. I don't do scan. So my way of getting out of it was I told him that I couldn't start till the 30th well they want to me to start tomorrow at 8 o'clock because they want to send a check right away then he got mad and said he ask do you understand what I'm saying try to get like ugly about it . So I told him , thank you but no thank you I have prior engagements to the 30th and it they couldn't wait till then then thank you and have a blessed day
Oh Joycelyn, I'm so sorry these scammers wasted your time but I'm so relieved you didn't lose any money! I'm glad you were able to see the signs. It's really frustrating that scammers are so common in job searching, but it's sadly true that they are. This is why I really recommend avoiding work-from-home positions as most scammers try to prey on people who are looking for convenience.
Yes I have encounted the very same situation but instead of cashing the check they insisted that I deposited the check, I contacted the site where they found my resume about screening their post bit no one has gotten back with me... I just hope people realize not to do this.
