I’m interested in the career track process at big box stores like Lowe's and Home Depot.
Interested in a possible career change into retail management. Do service associate employees at these stores get automatically promoted by management or do they have to apply for open manager jobs and compete for the job with every other internal and external applicant?

That's a really great question, Mike!! I don't know for sure, but I would imagine they hire people for management positions both ways.
Does anyone in the community have some good advice for Mike?
