Just a heads up warning
Over the last 2 days I have had 3 job offers by 2 different companies offering jobs working from home. They use legitimate company's to do this scam and here is a little of how it works.
They send you an email of a job offer to work from home using a real company's name that does do some positions remotely and they say the positions pay anywhere from $15 to $28 an hour.
Then when you reply they want to set up an interview but the interview is only through google chat. (I went through the process to see what it was all about) They will not Skype with you or any other type of tele-conferencing so you can see them in person its all through google chat.
The interview questions are great questions that a real company would ask you and would all seem real if it wasn't for the google chat thing and takes a long time.
At the end and after waiting close to an hour in chat they come back and tell you that after review of your interview answers you have the position. Now keep in mind not one time did they ask for any personal info like social or anything (thank god). You start tomorrow and they tell you a time to be on for training and that your office equipment will be there by the end of the week so that you can preform you job duties.
You go online the next day to start your training and your first task is to type an essay on Office Equipment and its importance in Accounting and general clerical duties. Now this is as far as I took the process. The rest of it works from what I have heard that they send you a check for more than what you are to be paid and want you to cash the check and western union them back the remainder but not sure how true that part is.
So I know everyone is desperate for a job so please beware.

I just got scammed the exact same way. I was working on my third task for these crooks when I saw the link to this page. The thing that angers me most is that I canceled four very serious interviews with real companies that were very interested in me. The good news is that these task proved to me that I still have the ability to research, analyze, type, proofread, and edit. The bad news is that I should feel very bad about this, but I don’t feel much at all. That worries me.

How can I get out of this because they've sent me money

This same exact thing happened to me I’m on my second week in though and finally got this task and found this I’m so heated right now.

Thanks to u ladies, I just avoided getting into a chat styled interview with OTTO ENERGY. My experience was exactly the same only the person who I was in conversation with name was Luke Hayden. Beware

I’m going through this right now. And I’m extremely worried, and have expressed that to the person I’d be “working ubder”. Literally just got an email to right an article in “article on "Office Equipment" and it's importance to Accounting and general clerical Duties.”
It’s a company called Otto Energy, after i felt weird after the interview, i tried to find on my job search accounts, and didn’t see myself applying to any company under that name.

Thank you so much for your post. You are saving a lot of people.

This seems to be what I am going through right now. I contacted the real company to verify and got nothing. So went ahead and went to first day o f" training ".
TRAINING TASK 1 Office Equipment are very vital in Administrative positions in general..
Write an article on "Office Equipment's" and it's importance to Accounting and general Clerical Duties.
Time limit : 3hours
I copied and pasted info onto a word document ( even leaving the links attached so they could see I did not write the paper). I turned it into the guy and he told me the following:
It is done.
I have sent it
Chris Thompson
Got it,stand by for review

Your task was reviewed and accepted, you did a good job and I am impressed,I hope you keep it up?
ok

This exact thing just happened to me... My first assignment was to type an essay on Office Equipment and its importance in Accounting and general clerical duties. I took that whole sentence and plugged it into a google search. There I found this jobcase posting. I immediately cut off the gmail communication with the fellow posting/posing as a HR representative. Whew - that was a close one.

If you cash the check then it will take a while to actually clear "their bank" which it will never do. You are expected to take the excess money and send it back to them. Well, you send the "overpayment" to them and they keep that money. The check that they sent you eventually bounces and you are then out the money with your bank and they have the cash that you sent them. This is a big time scam. Never fall for anything like this.
Had someone had any experience receiving a Cashier's check for a hefty amount for what they call Customer Service Survey Tool to improve Customer Service on a Global Level? On the Cashier's check that they mail you "Priority mail" , they said for you to take our $500 as our commission, and the rest , is to be spent buying gift cards ranging from $400 to $500 worth. They give you two different stores where to buy them. But you are given only 24 hours to cash the money in a bank of your choice.
