Anyone have problems UNSUBSCRIBING from job search sites?
I recently found a job! Yay! Now, after unsubscribing from all the job sites I was on, I started getting emails, phone calls and texts like crazy. Everything went haywire.
I started receiving 40 plus emails from Phil@ziprecruiter, 20 phone calls from various recruiters before 10:00 am , and many came through during the middle of the night. I began getting contacts from recruiters saying they were responding to applications I never submitted. One emailed to ask if I intended to apply for ALL of their positions.
Needless to say this has been a big headache. I went back and removed all my information from the sites and yet still continue to get recruiters contacting me. Most say they are getting my info from Zip recruiters, but Zip is adement that this is no longer possible. There is no point in trying to block these folks as there are thousands of recruiting companies across the US in my field.
It has been so stressful. Any advice?
Okay now Im confused....I contacted the help desk to get advice on how to remove my job search information from Jobcase, and received a response saying they are sorry to see me go. What? I only wanted to have recruiters stop calling me. I didn't intend to leave this community altogether. How does all this work?
Also, the reason my name is now Jane Doe, is because when I went in to remove my job search information, it wouldn't allow me to take my name off. There was no way to just remove all my information in order to stop the recruiters. Plus, I just now got yet another call from a recruiter who called me 3 times last week. I explained all this to her then.
Can someone please tell me why my information continues to be generated to these companies when I have removed all my contact information? Where do the recruiters get it from? It's making me nuts and a little paranoid. GEEZE! How do you make it stop?
