Safety Professional
I recently took a class to become a Safety Professional in the refineries and construction field. I currently hold my CSST certification, Osha 30 and field safety through Nccer. I have also done security in the refineries for close to 10 yrs but I don't have any experience in the field not do I have any trades such as Welding or pipefitting. Nobody wants to hire be because I don't have any experience. I am very knowledgeable about safety and other policies and procedures but the no experience side is really holding me back. They want me to start from the bottom which is a fire watch position. Where should I go next? Should I just keep looking or start as a fire watch to get my foot in the door?

Hey Tiffany, I think starting at the fire watch position would be a good idea! This will help you to build up your experience and build a relationship with the company.
