I think skill and detail orientation are a must for any medical professional. However, I also believe that caring eyes, compassion, and a well rounded personality are essential as well. A patient is being seen for illness and/or wellness checkups. Either scenario can produce anxiety, pain, or being uncomfortable in general. If I, as a patient, feel like I have been herded in and out, and treated like a cattle call ..... it makes for an very unpleasant experience. I feel like I have not been heard, or taken seriously. I am reluctant to return whether the medical staff is at the highest skill level in their field or not because there was no human kindness. We live in a world of hi-tech gadgets, i don't want to be the "gadget" for the medical staff.
