Unemployed since 2/2018
The frustration is monumental, I come from a family that had nothing but hardships and money issues. I was working for a nonprofit as an HR Generalist, took a big pay cut to go work for this organization. I was 1 of 3 HR Generalist in the department but felt like I was the only one. Somehow in the process between the three of us I was given all the locations 2 hours away and the other Generalist were sitting back and laughing. The organization hired a operations manager with no hr experience and her goal was simply he does the work so I will keep having him do it. After the worst experience I have had in my professional career. I have struggled to obtain another job, I have had tons of interviews and sent hundreds of resumes. I should also mention that anxiety and depression are not anything to joke about. My anxiety just continued to climb as I worked for the organization and now the depression of not being able to provide for my children is killing me.

Hello there

Start your own HR. You have the experience, why waste it on a job when you can create jobs.

Hi Ronald, The beauty of working as an HR Generalist is that since you probably dealt with many facets in HR you can expand your job search efforts to Recruiting, Payroll, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition etc. Depending on your years of experience, you can apply for HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, Recruiter, Employee Relations and other HR titles. Peruse different job postings and cater your resume for the areas that are your strong suit. You might even be able to apply for an HR Manager position. Being laid off for the most part is out of your control. Create a plan a b and c. The most important thing is to provide for your family which means you may have to seek employment in another field until you can get your dream job as some money is better than no money. Reevaluate your job search efforts, incorporate some stress relief so that you can be the best you when going out on interviews. Also remember I know you need a job but if you show up desperate and convey this to the employer you will be exploited. You want to find a job that will benefit from your skill set and values you for it. Keep us posted.

There’s a well known saying - “ UNTIL YOU” walk in another Man shoes - Don’t say what you would or would not - should not do!
To JUDGE another first & foremost is not for you but GOD ALL Mighty
Arrogant - Igornorance is rampant in the world today.
Encouragement & Support is most needed - Some Day you too will understand another persons pain.
Karma is real & Favor is needed - No weapon form against you will prosper - ask & God will provide ALL your needs & some of your wants. The Devil will fall down at your feet.
NEVER walk in Fear - IF you Believeth GOD will be at your side ALL the way!
Let the Church say AMEN....

Remember God doesn't open a another door. Until. One,,closes. Well one door. Closed already. So ask the good Lord. To guide. You. To another position. God bless and. Protect you and. Your. Family
