Had a job I really loved
I'm newly unemployed as of two weeks ago, I had a dream job that I always wanted. And I messed up, I admit it I messed up. But what bothers me most is While I'm taking my lumps, there are people that are still there, that were written up for harassment and sexual harassment, and they're still there. This is a company that prides itself, On claiming to having ethics. That makes no sense to me when you keep people who committed those kinds of crimes. Versus letting people go who actually brought a value to the company.
Admitting fault is only one step in being personally accountable for your actions. You are trying to balance your infraction with the infractions or perceived infractions of others and tearing down an employer who up until your termination provided you your dream job. You need to learn what you can and stop trying to transfer blame where it doesn't belong and for other people who have made mistakes they will either improve their behavior's or they will find themselves out of a job. When searching for a new position explain your mistake and what you have learned from it and you should have no issue finding a new position good luck.
What did you do that caused you to lose your job? It is unfortunate for anyone who loses their job I know the feeling. But sexual harassment happens everywhere. Both men and women I feel that way because here in CT it's almost as if they want their employees to be homosexual they say things that I find insulting an if I dare talk back not to call me that. I don't get work. I'm not anybody's Baby in the work place or their honey! Good luck with the job search!
So sorry to hear you lost your job Jen. I have been there before. Some people just know how to work the system in a way that they can get away with things without getting fired. Put that experience behind you and keep moving forward. Your true dream job is still waiting for you
It's the WORST when u see the hypocrisy + incompetence like that especially at a place u enjoyed working. However it sounds like thier not as good as u thought and I think ur dream job is still out there for u! A place similar to the last but one that actually has REAL integrity + operates daily based on morals + ethics! Keep grinding
