Make it your job on a daily basis to find a job.Add up expenses and don't bank on your new job until you have been there at least a year.Meaning don't get in over your head on credit.Dating and Job hunting are the same basically two of the hardest things that can cause nerves of steel to shatter in an instant and upheave your life in a way that can make you want to loose it.By loose it i mean shatter your inner core beyond recongnition you think this is going well and then your in an emotional hurricane when it dosent work out.Don't think just because you get a new job that will work out also people get fired over crazy stuff.Make a nest egg and don't get into too much debt too quickly. It's always tempting too celebrate a nice thing in your life and overspend.Think of things like family food budgets health costs job add up sucker monthly costs that we all have to pay like the light bill mortgage insurance much more car payments extra gas to work.new clothes for the new job car insurance car payments dishwashing detergent toilet paper shampoo.ect ect ect.

Totally agree, Heather! When you treat your job search like a job, you're much more likely to put in the time that's needed to produce interviews and job offers. I think saving as much money as possible is a really good idea too. Like you said, you never know when you might end up losing work! Thank you for sharing this excellent advice with the community!
