I can’t STAND my manager!

I’m a personal banker, which I really enjoy doing. I love helping my clients with their needs! But recently, my manager has been trying to take all MY customers! Some of them I’ve even built a relationship with, but she has telling them things that aren’t true so they go to her. How do I make this stop?

Sandy. I suggest coming up with an exit plan. Don't make waves until you have other options. Job search these days needs to be a constant exercise. Finding a job is much easier when you have one already.

Why would a manager want to do that? Do you have a similar job description? You say "recently". Has the manager's behavior changed dramatically over the past month or so? I wonder if her job is on the line and she's been told by the very people you want to complain to that she needs more customers to make a quota.

If your employer offers an EASY program give them a call and ask for professional advice. Also you don't have to quit your job, simply put in for a transfer stay professional and take yourself or of the equation.

Have a one on one conversation with your manager. Politely express your feelings. In my experience this works most of the time

Its time to leave Sandy. Don't know what else to say pretty lady. This is an abuse of power coupled with outright lies. Do not put your future in the hands of such a manager or also the higher management who allows this to happen.

Look for a different job. Once you have someone sabatoshing you it will continue. They know you won't say anything if they are in management. It's your word against his or hers. Karma will bite that person in the butt eventually, but the frustration for you may not be worth the wait. You deserve better. Theives and liars make me mad...they always seem to get away with a lot. Sorry you are going through this. Very disappointing and frustrating. Be sure to mention it on your exit interview. Best wishes.
