Personal Caregiver at Self Employed

Staying Positive Is Not Easy

I find myself sometimes getting depressed over struggling just to survive. At one time I had a very successful job, owned my own home and was living very comfortably and after 30 years, it all feel apart. I moved my mother in with me who had Alzheimer's and took care of her until she passed away. During this time, problems within relationship and family got destroyed. Then my CEO and President retired, company moved, and I was out of a job. I have to keep myself positive in some way, as depression is even worse. I just keep on telling myself to be thankful for what I have, because their are people out there who have absolutely nothing.

Hello Diane Dalbey it sounds like you are a very strong person, I am deeply sorry that you are going through, A very rough time in your life right now. I am also sorry for the lost of your mother. I know what it is like to try and take care of some one that is old and elderly, Like my grandmother. who just turn 90 Years old this year. It is very hard and difficult to take care of her. You know make her breakfast, and lunch and dinner. And also help her by making sure she put on her clothes. And making sure her that her room is clean and her bathroom as well. But you get the picture, I am her caretaker. I do these things because I love her. And the last thing my great grandmother said to me, before she died. In her own words was take care of your grandmother, So I have been doing the best that I can do, To honor that request from her. So what ever you do, so must try not to give up on yourself. I know things seem very hard and difficult right now. At this present moment in your life. Nothing quite seems to be working out for you. But by the strong grace of god things. will get better for you. You just have to try and hang in there, And pray about these from time to time now. Trust me I no that it is not going to be an easy thing for you to do. But you have got to ask god for help and guidance, to help you to get through your hard times and struggles. That you are going through and facing in you life right now. You also have to be able to heal first form your pain and sorry that your are experiencing in your life. You also have to believe and tell yourself That it is not your fault that you loss your job. That you family, and your relationship is falling apart. And that you loss your home. And that your mother pass away. Because you know deep down in your heart, that you took care of your mother. When she needed you, you was dear for her. Your family and your mother would be very proud of you. Maybe at that time, The job you had was not the right won for you. It was just a job, to help you make ends meat. So you could try and support yourself and your family. I Pray for you, that a better job. will be waiting for you. And that it is right around the corner. You know I have a good friend, that he use to say to me. That ever thing in life happens for a reason. At time I did truly understand what he was trying to tell me. But now that I am a lot older. I understand, I am quite the believer now. There is also another saying in life, And it go's. what doesn't kills you in life, makes you stronger. P.S I hope my advise help you out with what you are dealing with, and going through in your life. I will pray that everything works out for you and your family. Stay strong keep positive, keep your head up. And have a beauty blessed day.

Facing depression everyday while looking for a job is not easy. I have been out of work for almost a year (I am a chemical entrepreneur, consultant and chemist) and try to only be depressed on weekends and holidays. I am also my wife's caretaker as she is terminal with a failing liver. Living in expensive CA doesn't help either. I try to concentrate on any interviews and positive news. But the pressure still gets to me. We are trying to find a job closer to family in the Midwest but my age is not helping. I pray for us and all others who are in similar situations over the holiday!

You have three options you can accept things as they are you can continue dealing with things the way they are or you choose to move on and go get something better. Its ok we all fall down. I gone through some of the things that you're going through right now. But it's getting better . So don't stay down to long go get put applications online on indeed.
