The Food Industry.....
I'm so upset, I'm honestly trying not to feel negative about this situation and move on! I'm 28, and I have had 3 jobs since I was 16. I believe that says a lot about my work ethics... Oh I have always worked! I recently accepted a job offer for an higher paying and after doing background search on this particular franchise seen more growth opportunity. I was hired for a MANAGEMENT POSITION. The RGM, called me a week after I was hired stating my background was taking a little longer than she expected and said if I came in as A CREW member, I could at least start basic training. Let's put it like this... 3 weeks had past and I still had crew pay and a crew shirt. I completed all courses online, off and on the clock! By week 4, I explained I could not work at that pay rate any longer. Honestly I had never made $7.50. I jumped from $6.15 straight into management $10.00 or better. I'm not sure if quitting was the right thing, but I couldn't just settle for anything. I have over 7years of management experience... I'm servsafe certified. How was I suppose to just settle for being a crew member and working for $7.50? I
It sounds like you did the right thing. If they were hiring you for management, then they definitely should've gotten that taken care of.
