A company may hire you as a full time employee, but want you to work at a home or maybe a contractor. The only way to know this is to ask your company about your status, that way you will know what to expect for the end of the year taxes and be careful with the scam jobs posting. .

Hi. Before you signed any agreement i suggest you go over every little details that you possibly need to know, & ask questions to be sure what your putting yourself into. No matter what source of income your in,, there's always filing taxes:) & remember to enjoy life. TAke care.

Hello Ellenor I asked that question years and years ago, what information I received if the employer doesn't send out 1099 forms I will report the income under my business The Global Network-schedule C. I have done this for the last 15 years. So over the years I worked this business, a job and 1099 work. Well, the job's would send out W2, and contract work would send out 1099. All forms have their place in my end-of-year reports and taxes. Thanks Ken
The IRS would probably consider you to be an independent contractor--- an independent contractor is generallly free to choose the time and place of performance of duties,, is not closely directed by the person for whom the service is provided,. receives little training from the client and may determine how to do the job, purchases the prreponderance of tools and supplies used at the place of his choosing, holds him or her self open to the public to provide the service , is paid a fee rather than an hourly salary, does not receive fringe benefits,, is not key to the busiiness, and pays his or her own payroll taxes. Each case is different and this is a topic of great interest to the IRS so one should consider it carefully or seek professional advice.
