Hi Al!
My name is Ben and I'm a designer here at Jobcase. The cover letter looks great but I have a couple suggestions. First off I'm really impressed. Speaking as a fellow designer I really latched on to your years of experience and the wide breadth of global clients you've had. I do however want to say that I think you are selling yourself short by offering to work pro bono. I believe that the perception you're giving to your potential employers by discounting your rates so dramatically doesn't match your experience. My recommendation to you would be to just include "contact me for a quote" that way you can adjust your rates and charge more for larger/more difficult clients. Also, there is a small grammatical error, you're going to want to change "ability to make decision" to "ability to make decisions". Lastly I would highly recommend including a link to your portfolio right in your cover letter, or at the very least, write out the shortened url. Other than that though the letter looks great Al. Just keep at it. Don't give up. The search for a new job is always tough, but we're all here for you!
