Racist employers are real!!

Sure, HR will tell you that they don't allow discrimination. Sure, they tell you they want more diversity. But at the end of the day, they don't live up to what they're saying. HR discriminates against minorities, plain and simple.

Hello.. I can somewhat see where you're coming from. However all of us need to understand & realize that when we are going to an interview or reporting to an actual job that (depending on the industry) we dress for the job we want not the job we have or are looking to get into. Stay positive and keep your head up. Good luck!

True. I agree and it's unfortunate that they are the first level of screening before your resume goes anywhere. So a hiring manager may not even see your resume even though you are more than qualified for the job. HR can make or break you. Therefore, the best course of action is to network with HR people on LinkedIn or go through a staffing agency. That maybe the only way to get your resume past the initial barricade; especially in this economy where qualifications mean nothing. #itswhoyouknow

Human Resources does not discrimiate against minorities. I am white and I tested for a job and scored the hightest out of the 5 that took the test. We were all within 2-3 years age difference. You tell me why the minority's got hired and I did not, especially being the hightest scorer? I know the answer. Jobs are filled by quota's not test results. Stop pulling the minority card. We've been listening to that shit for years and even though minorities get everything over whites, you're all still bitching that you get nothing. How about "GET A LIFE" and earn your way through it and stop looking for handouts.

I've definitely experienced some situations where the employer displayed questionable attitudes about my race. Curious to see what others have to say here.

I dunno, I think sometimes people are quick to accuse employers of discrimination when actually they just might not be the right fit for the job. But I'm open to being wrong about this.
