Most career sites require applicants to create a personal portal by creating a username and password in order to submit an application. You can use your newly created username and password to log back into your personal employment portal and check on your application status. This is a quick application follow up process you can access remotely with no contact. You can also call or email the human resource or department managers for a status updated. This may take a little more research and professional persistence.
