Age Discrimination

Does anyone have any story of age discrimination? I just to take a quick poll. Please include your full situation. I personally have been working with a large consulting company. I suspect have was discriminated against. I was placed on a PIP. Then asked to resign. I later found out. They hired three employees from fresh out of college to replace me. Since the employees were younger and cheaper. My position was eliminated due to my age not performance. I want to see if this is has happened to any else.

I went to work thru a temp agency for the only big paying place in town. When hired, the temp agency told me that if we weren't late or absent, did a good job, and met the required hours, you would be hired in. It also goes by seniority. I did everything they asked. As time went on, I noticed all the little "20 somethings"were being hired left and right. Some had already missed work, been late, and doing a less than good job. Everyone told me to hang in there. Then I noticed that people that came in after me, were being hired on. Needless to say, it came down to the wire and nothing happened and my contract expired. After many times of talking with my supervisor about my time left, no one knew anything. I think they wanted me to renew my contract with the temp agency. Nope!! Wasted a year. So I went elsewhere. I kept in touch with my coworkers. We are all in the same age group. They had no time missed or anything bad on their record either. So far, they all have been let go too. Hmmmm...something is very fishy here. Unfair hiring process to say the least. I think we all have it figured out. Health insurance. That's one of the main reasons i worked there. I guess they figure they will use you up, not hire older people, hire younger people who really wont use there health insurance as much. What can you do??
This isn't over yet. We just have to figure out where to start with an investigation into this company.

I have applied to multiple companies where I more than met their minimum requirements from AT&T to Knotts berry farm. AT&T kept responding the position was filled but the next month, the exact same position was posted and we went round and round for a year before they finally pulled it. Knotts wanted techs for attractions regarding repairs and upgrades, I gave them my qualifications of telecom circuitry to very high voltage safety and even a few videos of halloween props from motion sensors, LED circuits, to my big tesla coil witch I built. They were blown away!! Then they come back and call me a retard "indirectly" by saying I would not be happy with the pay. I guess they seriously thought I was expecting 60k/yr or something and that I was too stupid to know they wouldn't go much over the payscale that the union made them pay.
