Hi
Thank you All for kind words...

Have you tried typing 'Internship Jobs' on your search engine? I prefer google but yahoo fairs well. Make sure your resume boasts your achievements such as awards and volunteer work. A cover letter also helps. Good Luck

Hi Kristi, thank you for the advice. I appreciate your comments..
Warm regards, Dr. Patricia

Maybe go to banks or finance companies and explain your situation to them, maybe one of them will be willing to give you a chance. It's harder to turn someone down in person! Good Luck.

Join LinkedIn. They have many jobs posted for interns right now. Anne

Hi Raissa,
Have you tried associations related to your field of study?
When I needed to do an internship, I had to find my own internship.
I an interned with my county mental health association.
Good Luck, Rochelle

Ok

Two years that is along time, how about local banks , accounting firms , post your resume on job boards on line and at other schools if yours is not helping. Do you have a counselor who can help direct you in the right direction. Good luck.

Hi Raissa,
Have you sent your resume to any of the local banks, credit unions, in your community? Most financial institution managers are within the location during the day, take some resumes with you and go visit them in person and tell them why you would be an awesome intern. They might tell you that you have to apply online, at least they can see your face and even put in a good word for you..

Doesn't your university have a career placement service? If not, they should. Meanwhile, check with Goodwill Job Connection. They might be able to help you.
Solid suggestions here networking in person and using alumni connections really work. I’ve also seen people land opportunities through LinkedIn, though I’d recommend checking https://linkedin.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html first to know what to expect if you need support. Best of luck with the search!
