Hi Eric, Tell them you have to go to the dentist. That way you have the whole day, because they won't expect you to come back . Also most people hate talking about the dentist so you'll have less follow up lies to tell to your boss.

Eric, I think you can take a personal day without having to come up with a specific reason to share.
