Screamed at and berrated.
Without hiring an attorney are there any agencies out there that can help a woman over 60 who gets humiliated and screamed at because she makes a mistake who has little training at an insurance agency for a national company. The agent goes through woman assistants like water which we found out later and pays them little with no benefits. She got so tired of being yelled and screamed at and asked are you trying to fire me and his response is no because then I would have to pay unemployment. This is in a rural area and it's especially hard to find jobs for a woman over 60. Any good advice would be greatly appreciated.

The first duty of any company that hires new people is to train them the rudiments of the job. Deficient or little training leads to expensive mistakes on the job. Even after the initial training, the new worker is assigned to work under the supervision of an experienced worker until she's good enough to work on her own. My advice is that you should HUMBLY and Respectful approach your screaming boss, say you are sorry and ask for more training and to be placed to work with an experienced worker after the training. Promise him you'll do your best. If he refused this your humble offer, get out of there and file for your unemployment benefits! You don't want to continue to work under a 'slave driver-ish' boss in the 21st Century!
