Fired for absenteeism after being approved for fmla
Any advice is welcomed.. last year my Dad got sick and his doctors recommended that he needed to be watched or put into a hospital. I filed for Fmla to take care of him, and the company approved my leave. I took an initial 10 days off, during which I was able to get my dad into a adult day health care 3x a week and i would only need 2 days a week off to care for him. So i go back to work, with doctors certified notes and satisfying the Fmla requirements for the company. Upon my return to work I was terminated for an "attendance problem".. keep in mind I had never been written up for an attendance issue prior to this because an attendance problem did not exist. A Unemployment judge then labeled the companys write ups (which were not signed by me) were fraudulent and manufactured. And it violates my federal labor rights? Would it be worth it to go after them civally? What would the possible settlements be?

EEOC

The unemployment judge said that the company made fraudulent write ups? If that's the case, you clearly have a case against them.
