Thinking outside the box
Three months ago I was forced out of my job. Fortunately, I am able to collect EDD insurance, even though I have it on file that I resigned. Because I am having a struggle with my job search, I still want to maintain some kind of productivity. I decided that I would volunteer at my local mission for the homeless and needy, as they need people. This will give me a chance to still work in my profession showing that I am still in the game, and can put it on my resume. It will also allow me to work with new people, network and build more references. But more importantly, it will give me fulfillment in helping those who are worse off than me.
Good things come from helping others. God is good.

I couldn't agree with you more Rachael. Way to bounce back from that negative work experience too.

What a wonderful attitude and opportunity you have been given. I hope this will do all you expect it to for you in the future. The best of luck. Lisa Renwick

That is really wonderful Carry! Glad you found something you enjoy doing and fulfills you while you continue looking for something that also supports you. Really appreciate your outlook today!
Servitude is the best thing we can do for our fellow human family, good luck on finding a new job
